September 2023 – My Life in Quilts: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly with Marge Tucker

Over twenty-five years ago, Marge made her first quilt for friends expecting their first child. That first quilt was a traditional pieced quilt; today Marge focuses on abstract improvisational designs. Although she may start a quilt with a general concept and color palette, she proceeds to piece her quilts without a definitive image of what the finished piece will look like. She sees where she is led. Her quilts are in private collections in Canada and the United States.

In-person and Virtual Lecture: Sept.5, 9:30 am: My Life in Quilts: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

In this lecture, Marge talks about her quilting journey, from the first quilt she remembers seeing to becoming a quilting instructor and fiber artist.  She will discuss the way quilting has changed her life and her inspirations for quilt designs.
