Anne Kelly is a mixed media textile artist, author and tutor living and working in Kent, England. She was educated in Canada and granted two consecutive Greenshields Scholarships, a prestigious international award given to artists who “demonstrate the determination and talent to pursue a lifetime career in their art practice”.
Anne’s richly layered and densely hand and machine embroidered works are reminiscent of tapestries. Her work is driven by narrative and more recently by issues of conservation and migration. She exhibits locally and internationally, often combining exhibitions with her teaching.
